Tubular massive children writing desk, cataloque no. B-91. It was originaly designed by Marcel Breuer and it was made in the former Czechoslovakia by Slezák Company under Thonet licence in the 1930´s.
A typical example of European functionalism and the works of leading designers of this period such as Marcel Breuer, Jindrich Halabala, Mart Stam etc. Chromium steel construction, plywood veneered with beech wood veneer. There are currently not many of these pieces on the market today. The table was completely refurbished in the past, polished to high gloss using polyurethane. Shows slight signs of age and using.
