A pair of bentwood lounge armchairs designed by Jaroslav Šmídek, produced in Czechoslovakia. The chairs feature sculptural curved bentwood armrests, tapered wooden legs, and generously padded seats and backrests with a relaxed, slightly reclined profile.
Fully restored and newly reupholstered. This pair has undergone a complete renovation in our workshop: the bentwood frames were repaired where needed and refinished, and both armchairs were completely reupholstered in new fabric. The chairs are structurally solid and ready for immediate everyday use.
The new upholstery combines a textured grey-brown fabric with contrasting buttons on the backrests and a geometric zigzag pattern in neutral tones on the seats. Together with the warm brown frames, the pair suits a living room, reading area, study, bedroom, or any mid-century-inspired interior. Main product photo background has been edited using AI.
