Pair of Bedside Tables, 1930s–1940s, Czechoslovakia
This pair of functionalist bedside tables originates from Czechoslovakia, dating to the 1930s–1940s. The design reflects the influence of Bauhaus and tubular steel furniture production of the period.
Each piece features a bent chrome-plated tubular frame supporting a wooden cabinet with a door and an upper shelf. The construction is consistent with manufacturers such as Thonet or Mücke-Melder, though attribution remains unverified. The surfaces show a warm wood tone with visible grain.
Both tables are in good vintage condition with patina and signs of wear to the wood and chrome, consistent with age. The set remains structurally sound and complete.
