Fully Restored 1950s Writing Desk by Jindřich Halabala for Jitona – Czech Mid-Century Modern
This writing desk, designed by Jindřich Halabala and produced by Jitona Soběslav in the 1950s, has undergone a complete professional restoration. The veneer surfaces were carefully sanded, stained, and refinished to match the original semi-gloss stained oak finish, and all structural and visual details were brought back to excellent condition.
It features four drawers with contrasting dark fronts and sculpted handles, an open section with a floating shelf, and a generously sized worktop with rounded edges.
Thanks to its expert restoration, this desk is not only a fine piece of Czechoslovak Mid-Century design, but also a fully functional and elegant workspace.
