Full-glass Floor Lamp, Karel Volf, 1970s–1980s, Czechoslovakia
Designed by Karel Volf for Osvetlovaci sklo n.p. in the 1970s, this floor lamp exemplifies the refined craftsmanship and innovation of Czechoslovak glassmaking. It reflects the elegant minimalism and precision typical of the nation’s mid- to late-20th-century industrial design.
The lamp is made entirely of triplex opal glass with a metal base, producing a soft, evenly diffused light. It remains in excellent, undamaged vintage condition, preserving both its functionality and aesthetic integrity.
Originally created exclusively for prestigious Prague hotels such as the InterContinental, Forum, and Palace Hotel, only few of this model have survived. Multiple pieces are available.
