Unique Biedermeier sofa, circa 1835 of German origin.
Extraordinarily shaped and carved with walnut veneer. Veneer and construction well preserved for the age of the piece, with the veneer slightly chipped in one small place as can be seen in the photographs. Upholstered leather cover, partially damaged due to old age, lending character to the piece.
