A distinctive pair of mid-century cinema chairs originating from a cinema near Pirmasens, Germany. According to the supplied information, the cinema was equipped with these chairs at the end of 1955. The chairs feature a simple wooden construction with broad backrests, integrated armrests, curved seat boards, and sturdy supporting legs.
The chairs have a functional cinema-seating design, with slightly angled backrests and individual wooden seats supported by a robust frame. The natural warm-toned wood gives the pair a classic mid-century appearance, while the compact proportions and original cinema configuration reflect their intended use as public seating.
The pair retains visible signs of age and use consistent with vintage seating, including surface marks and wear visible in the photographs. No designer or specific manufacturer has been provided, so none is attributed to the chairs.
