This bedroom set is a beautiful and characteristic example of Czechoslovak furniture design in connection with the so-called Brussels period. This period began with the huge success of the Czechoslovak Pavilion at the world-famous Expo in Brussels in 1958. It is characterized by a modernist design and lightweight materials that greatly facilitate the handling of furniture. This bedroom set was made in the 1960s. It has undergone a complete refurbishment while retaining all original features. The black lines were highlighted, the wood was sanded and varnished and the colored parts were also newly varnished.
