Art Deco bed with two night stands, Designed by Jindrich Halabala, manufactured by UP Závody. Veneered and partly lacquered in black, Czechoslovakia, around 1940 . The broad headboard has been accentuated by black lacquering along the edges which are rounded at the corners. Two night stands are integrated into the headboard, in harmony with the simple elegant design. The design of the headboard is repeated at the foot of the bed, set on a black lacquered base and revealing decoratively curved side contours. The bed is in good condition considering its age. The veneered surfaces show a number of scattered abrasions.       The lacquered parts are slightly abraded and show faint scratches and a few marks. Also available are the original iron racks.
