This two-seat folding bench dates to the 1930s and reflects the functionalist and Bauhaus design principles of the interwar period. The design emphasizes utility, clarity, and material contrast.
The structure is made of chrome-plated bent steel tubing, paired with shaped beech plywood seats, backrests, and armrests. The folding mechanism allows the seats to lift automatically, a feature typical of period cinema and theatre seating.
The piece is sold as a single bench. It remains in good original condition with patina and signs of use consistent with age. The structure is solid and the folding seats function properly.
