A pair of functionalist tubular armchairs with wooden seats and chrome-plated steel frames, made by Jitona, závod Třebíč, in the 1950s in former Czechoslovakia. The design is based on the iconic Mart Stam model, later interpreted by designers such as Robert Slezák.
These chairs reflect the elegance and simplicity of the Bauhaus-influenced aesthetic. They are in very good original condition, with sturdy frames, well-preserved veneer, and lightly aged chrome.
Price is for the pair.
