Product detailed description
French Art Deco Solid Oak Two-Tier Coffee Table, circa 1930s
This elegant French Art Deco coffee table, dating to the early 1930s, showcases the refined craftsmanship and functional elegance typical of the era. Constructed from solid oak, the piece features a square top supported by four robust, rectangular-section legs. A lower shelf is gracefully suspended beneath the tabletop, offering both additional surface space and a sense of visual balance within its two-tier design.
Handcrafted between 1930 and 1935 in Pont-de-Beauvoisin—a historic town in France’s Isère region famously known as the “City of Furniture”—the table reflects the artisanal heritage of one of the country’s most respected furniture-making centers. Traditional techniques such as hand-sanding, staining, and polishing were employed to bring out the rich depth and natural grain of the oak wood.
This piece has been professionally restored using time-honored methods and is presented in excellent condition, ready to enrich any interior with its timeless style and authentic character.
