A distinctive vintage daybed frame with a chrome-plated tubular steel structure and woven metal mesh base. Its simple geometric construction and functional design reflect the clean aesthetic of mid-century furniture.
The frame features tubular steel side and back rails with an open woven metal base, giving the piece a light, architectural appearance.
The frame is in fair vintage condition with significant signs of age and use. The metal mesh has a large torn and damaged section, along with visible wear, discoloration, and surface oxidation. The chrome-plated frame also shows areas of wear and age-related patina.
Even though the sprung base is damaged in a few spots, but this does not affect its structural strength or usability. The springs remain strong and taut, and the small gaps or holes do not affect the functionality of the base. Once the cushions are placed on top, the damaged areas are covered.
