Historic Glass-Front Bookcase from Austria-Hungary, Late 19th–Early 20th C.
This elegant glass-front bookcase was made in the former Austria-Hungary at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Known as a “folk” or school bookcase, it was typically used in rural schools or homes for storing books and teaching materials.
The piece features finely crafted double glass doors with carved wooden details and original white-painted interior shelves. The original functional lock remains intact. Authentic historical school supplies can be purchased separately upon request.
It is preserved in very good original condition with only minor signs of age.
