Modernist Sideboard with Drop-Down Door, Czechoslovakia, 1970s
This vintage sideboard was produced in Czechoslovakia in the 1970s and showcases the functional modernist design typical of the period. According to the preserved factory label, it was made by Dřevotvar (Pardubice) and dispatched on January 6, 1976.
The layout includes three drawers on the left and a spacious drop-down compartment on the right, equipped with a textile strap and ventilated base panel. The piece features contrasting veneers: a light ash veneer body and darker mahogany-toned drawer fronts, enriched by sculpted wooden handles and tapered legs for a light and clean silhouette.
The cabinet is in very good original condition – all parts are fully functional, drawers slide smoothly, and the drop-down door holds firmly. Perfect as a dresser, media cabinet, or functional storage piece in any modern interior.
