A pair of original armchairs produced by TON(the successor of Thonet in Czechoslovakia) in the turn of 1950´s and 1960´s. It features a seat on black metal and wooden construction with a removable chair seat and backrest. It´s a typical example of Czechoslovak design after the huge success of the Czechoslovak pavilion at Expo 58 in Brussels. This chairs remains fully functional, but it shows sign of age through scuffs, an abrasions or faded finishes. Overall in good Vintage condition.
