Retro Armchairs, Brussels Style, Miroslav Navrátil, 1960s
A legendary pair of original Brussels-style retro armchairs designed by Miroslav Navrátil and produced in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s. These iconic pieces feature a sculptural shell construction with the signature circular cut-out in the backrest and elegant tapered “Brussels” legs, making them a true symbol of Expo 58 and Mid-Century design.
The armchairs were later reupholstered in a tasteful coffee-white fabric, which complements their timeless form. They remain in very good vintage condition, with only minor surface scuffs consistent with age. Structurally solid, comfortable and visually striking, they are ideal as statement seating for design-focused interiors or collectors of authentic Czechoslovak modernism.
