It´s made of beechwood, veneer, plywood and laminate. In very good condition. The cabinet comes from the famous Universal series (U-450), which was designed in 1958 for the Czechoslovak national company Interiér Praha by the Czech designer Jiří Jiroutek. The success of the Czech pavilion at the Brussels Ex-‘58 was followed by the rise of the modernist style (called "Brussels style" in Czechoslovakia). One of the most prominent representatives of the Brussels style are the cabinets and chests of drawers from the U-450 series with typical pastel colors and sloping legs. In Czechoslovakia in the 1960s and 1970s, you could meet them in almost every modern household. The cabinets were unique not only in design, but also in their technological innovation, which enabled their serial production and availability at a time when there was a huge demand for furniture in Czechoslovakia. These cabinets were one of the first to be made from already prepared parts, from which they were then assembled. The same technological process allowed the cheaper of furniture and the expansion of companies such as IKEA. This cabinet is original from the 60's, we completely renovated it to meet current standards.

Height: 76 cm

Lenght: 110 cm

Depth: 46 cm

Shipping Information

All items are professionally packed and shipped from Europe.
We ship worldwide using trusted international carriers.
After dispatch you will receive tracking information and delivery coordination.
If you have any questions regarding shipping, feel free to contact us.

Estimated delivery time:
Europe: Approx. 14–21 days
United Kingdom: Approx. 16–24 days
USA: Approx. 21–28 days
Other regions: Approx. 3–5 weeks

All shipments are insured and handled with care.

Over the years, we have successfully delivered more than 5,000 items internationally.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0950/4977/7493/files/fully-restored-mid-century-sideboard-u-450-by-jiri-jiroutek-brown.png?v=1777485756
223816
Mid Century Chest of Drawers U458, Storage Dresser by Jiri Jiroutek, 1960s

Mid century chest of drawers made by Jiří Jiroutek for Interiér Praha.

It's a non-tradional version of well-known chest -
